Keep on going....

Ok a minor hiccup - the pure protein diet was making me very ill. Exceptionally dizzy, headaches, diarrhoea etc So I broke the diet for a couple of days... I still ate sensibly, but I just couldn't maintain pure protein. On 31/12/10 I thought I was going to fall out of the shower I was so dizzy... I couldn't walk in a straight line. It was dangerous.

Today is is 03/01/11 and I am back to eating healthy, on to the cruise phase of the Dukan diet, veges and protein. We'll see how that goes for a week. Gosh last week I was sick.

I have just come back from a nearly 2 hour walk, I covered 10km, which felt really great. I was carrying weights in my backpack as well... which hopefully helped to burn the kilojoules.

All I have had to eat today was lactose free yoghurt and 2 tablespoons of oat bran. I will try and have some vegies later.

All support from any followers is welcome!

Day Three

Going ok, other than feeling sick today. Though I think that doesnt have anything to do with the diet.

My food intake today has been:
- lactose free yoghurt and oat bran
- chicken and oregano
- shaved turkey breast
- salmon slices
- 3 small hoki fillets, with pepper and lime juice.
- easily 1.5 litres of fluid

According to the Dukan website, my ideal weight is 8kgs (73kg) above the weight I would like (65kg), and I should achieve this by July.

Here is the chart from the website:

Day Two

Day one was harder than I anticipated. I was craving sugar like a mofo. I suppose I also didn't stock the fridge well with pure protein snacks, so I couldn't substitute my craving with a Dukan approved snack.
However, I still managed to follow the diet. My food for the day included:
1.5 litres of water / tea / diet soft drinks
lactose free yoghurt with 1.5 tablespoons of oatbran
2 eggs, ham slices and basil omelette
cooked chicken breast
a can of tuna with grain mustard
1 cup of 99% fat free frozen yoghurt.

I also walked for about 30 minutes.

Day two has been a little easier, when for 50 minute, 3.5 km walk, up and down some gigantic stairs. My food for today has included:
1.5 litres of water
lactose free yoghurt with 1.5 tablespoons of oatbran
tuna and mustard
2 slices of mortadella (I forgot how gross it is, so I gave the rest to my dogs)

For dinner I plan on having some steamed fish.

I am also photographing my weight as it appears on the scales each morning. I will try to post the pictures as some incentive soon.

Any comments and advice are very very welcome.

Welcome!

Welcome! This is a Fat Girl's Weight Loss Blog!
My name is Restless and I need support, advice and encouragement to help me loose weight.

Today my weight loss journey starts! I am excited, also a little scared and hoping I have the will to remain committed to this diet, as I have seen excellent results in other people.

The Durkan Diet is how I am going to tackle my weight. After doing some research and seeing some real life results in friends, I believe the Dukan Diet is an achievable and sustainable diet. It will basically teach me to eat the way I should.

You can find more information about the diet here: http://www.dukandiet.co.uk/

I weigh approximately 100kg and am 169cm tall. Therefore, my BMI is 35, I am considered obese. My goal is to be 65kgs, which is right in the middle of my healthy weight range for my height.

I am sad and can't really comprehend how I got this huge. I am fucking gigantic! I wear a size 16-18 and my body looks totally out of proportion to my head. I have become socially withdrawn, my confidence is at an all time low and I don't want to be around people because I don't want to be invited anywhere - because I am embarrassed by the way I look.

So today it starts, and I know I will need your help. I would love your support, advice and even mean comments, because I know they will encourage me to continue.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog, I look forward to hearing from you all.
